SCG FAQ

What seating and facilities will be located in the new grandstand?

The new northern grandstand will feature 13,300 new seats, increasing the total capacity of the SCG to 48,000. The redevelopment has also allowed the lengthening of the SCG playing surface by six metres, meaning it will be just five metres shorter and five metres narrower than the MCG.

Upon completion, the SCG redevelopment will see the new stands deliver first class catering, bars, dining and media facilities, as well as a roof top terrace behind the level four seating deck, which will provide spectacular views of the Sydney CBD skyline.

New change rooms for visiting AFL teams will also be built ahead of the 2014 season. The redevelopment of the northern grandstands will also feature the installation of a 272-square-metre video screen, the Dally Messenger Scoreboard, the largest in any Australian stadium.

You can also check out a video of the Sydney Swans Member Services and Ticket Sales teams experiencing a tour of the new stand.

When will Sydney Swans members receive specific information regarding access to the new stand and the process for 2014 renewals?

All priority members directly affected by the redevelopment have now received communications regarding renewals and seating for the 2014 season. Any new information will be published on the Sydney Swans website as it becomes available.

Where will the Red Zone be located next season?

For season 2014, the Sydney Swans Red Zone will return to the new MA Noble Stand and the lower section of the Ladies Stand. Current Red Zone members will also have the option to remain in the Victor Trumper by selecting a reserved seat package.
